"Bull users getting started" note May 2014, Alexandre Mary completed the "Bull users getting started" note (in the tar file, you will find the note and the associated templates). Overall absolutely high priority recommendation is to run jobs on the 32Gb nodes, not the bigger ones (that are fewer). For large memory jobs, this means to run with MPI and possibly some OpenMP. During the internal Video-GOM Talk (ECMWF-MF, July 11, 2012), Alan Geer presented the joined document : "Modernisation of the observation interpolation operator (GOM)… … and thoughts on the quality of code in the IFS".

These documentations are mainly in French but with also an English summary or in Annex an English (shorter) version. Report of the 4th 2007 e-suite (higher horizontal resolution, supplementary vertical levels, variational correction of the model bias, assimilation of AMSCAT data ..) : the e-suite and the operational suites have been compared from 06 October 2007 to 05 February 2008. The LFI library is used to manipulate direct-access model files at Météo-France. It is currently used for the native files of Arpège, Aladin and Méso-NH models, and for Arpège/Aladin ancillary files (climatologies, postprocessing, Aladin coupling).
