Since the 1 june 2016, the SURFEX code is freely available (Open-SURFEX) using a CECILL-C Licence (a French equivalent to the L-GPL licence), excepted for:

Since the 30 june 2014, the database is freely available (Open-ECOCLIMAP) using a CECILL-C Licence (a French equivalent to the L-GPL licence).
Until 2017, the versions of the Surfex code were managed by the Subversion (SVN) tool.
From 2017, we use GIT.
