ALMIP-MEM
ALMIP simulations coupled to the Community Microwave Emission Model
(CMEM)
Objectives:
Simulate C-Band Brightness Temperature, TB, as seen by AMSR
- Range of TB simulated by 12 LSMs
- Validation of surface soil moisture and simulated by LSMs
- Scatter C-band TB simulated by LSMs at a Regional scale
- Repeat simulations at L-band (preparation SMOS)
- Estimate additional information on Soil Moisture expected to be
provided by SMOS compared to AMSR
- Possible use of more than one TB model
