  During the icebreaker at the joint 26th ALADIN Wk & HIRLAM ASM 2016 in Lisbon (4-7 April 2016), the ALADIN 25th Anniversary was celebrated. Piet recalled some main steps and achievements of the ALADIN consortium throughout all these years and insisted of the ALADIN spirit that lead so many people to embark on the epic and magic ALADIN adventure. • 5th ALADIN Memorandum of Understanding

  The 5th ALADIN MoU was signed in Budapest on February 10, 2016 during the 20th ALADIN General Assembly. The differences from the 4th MoU concern : – the introduction of the notion of Canonical Model Configurations (i.e. AROME or ALARO) – the new half-time ALADIN funded position for a Code Architect – the increase of the flat-rate ceiling to take into account the CA funded position – some changes in the article 11 about "Ownership, avalability and use of ALADIN products". – the (…)

  The NMS of Hungary hosted the 20th regular General Assembly in Budapest, on 9-10 February 2016. The 20th GA meeting, originally planned in Algiers on November 24-25 2015 had to be rescheduled due to international events. The 5th ALADIN MoU was signed during this GA.
