General Information

  • Description
    BUOY messages from drifting or moored buoys included in the FASTEX area (20N-90N;140W-40E), received from the GTS at Météo-France/Toulouse in real time.
    Measurements of Air Pressure, Air Temperature, Sea Surface Temperature, Wind, Salinity and Water temperature, according to the buoy. About 1150 messages a day.
  • to note: it does not include a number of North Atlantic buoys (EGOS buoys, five SIMBAD drifters and additional USA/GDC-EGOS SVP drifters) which were validated by the Météo-France/Centre de Météorologie Marine.
