  • Description
    Commercial ships equipped with radiosounding equipment:
  • 4 French ASAPs crossing the Atlantic (2 present at a given time) between Le Havre (France) and the French West Indies
  • 2 Danish ships operating between the west coast of Denmark and Godthaab (Greenland)
  • 1 Swedish-Icelandic ASAP over the North Atlantic between Reykjavik (Iceland) and Norfolk, Virginia (USA)
  • ship trajectories during FASTEX:

  • Instruments
  • radiosoundings, between 2 and 4 soundings a day, as far as they are north of the 30N
