  • The KNORR (NOAA);
  • Le SUROIT (French ship);
  • The Victor Bugaev (Ukrainian Ship);
  • The Ægir (Icelandic Coast Guard);
  • Meteorological observations from SHIP messages from ships in the FASTEX area.
  • Meteorological observations from five moored buoys (Brittany, Key one, key two, Key four and Rarh) which report on GTS using SHIP code.

  • Data providers validation for the four FASTEX ships
    Each set of data from ships participating in FASTEX is validated by the data providers before sending it to the FASTEX Central Archive.

  • FASTEX Central Archive Ship Quality Controls,
    in delayed time (last update: 15 Sep,1998)
  • real time quality control processing
    as recommended by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), was applied on operational data received at Météo-France (in Toulouse, France) from the Global Telecommunication System (GTS) and provides quality control flags on several parameters. Real time quality control procedures are explained in the quality control procedures handbook (last update: 13 Mar,1997).
