    Each set of data is validated by the data providers before sending it to the FASTEX Central Archive.

  • FASTEX Central archive checking

    Basic meteorological and other (e.g.,position) tests. Comparison with other data sources.

    • Data format

    ASCII format. One line for each Date/Time measurements. Including site, position, time, pressure, air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and direction, Sea surface temperature, ship heading and speed.
  • Additionnal measurements for The Knorr: maximun 1-min wind, course and speed over ground. See the format page for more details.
  • Additionnal measurements for Le Suroit: surface salinity and density, precipitation, radiation, heigh of base of the cloud layers. See the format page for more details.
