  • Quality Control Processing

  • Data providers validation
  • Profilers on the FASTEX ships
This dataset is a real-time one and has not been reprocessed and screened for quality. Use the data with care taking into consideration that it is not the final re-processed data set.
  • European network: each set of data is validated by the data providers before sending it to the CWINDE Archive, in BUFR format. Data are decoded and included in the CWINDE Archive.
  • FASTEX Central archive checking Check on no duplicate data

  • Data format

ASCII files, one file for each profile, including these parameters:
  • Profilers on the FASTEX ships:
average wind components (horizontal wind speed and direction, vertical speed) and the signal noise ratios for 2 oblique beams and the verical beam.
  • European network Profilers:
average wind components (horizontal wind speed and direction, vertical speed) and quality flags for the horizontal and the vertical wind speed.
