Concordia station

Concordia is a scientific base located at DOME C in Antarctica (75°06’S and 123°21’E)
It is operated by Italy (PNRA) and France (IPEV). It contains a
lot of technological innovation (spatial technologies in particular) and shows a
great respect of the environment of the site.
Terrestrial travel from Dumont d’Urville takes about 10-15 days
Programs cover different fields : astronomy, glaciology, atmosphere chemistry, earth sciences, microbiology, medicine .
Upper Air soundings are produced and transmitted on the GTS.
