This meeting was mainly dedicated to the study of the received candidatures for the 3rd (and last) call for ALATNET Young Researcher candidacies. However, a few other points were raised.

An added ALATNET Seminar ?

While organizing the 2001 Seminar, some whishes raised for a thrid Seminar : HIMS confirms its proposal to host this Seminar on "Numerical Methods". Exact dates and place will be discussed during the ALATNET Seminar on Data Assimilation

"Ecole d'été internationale Interaction, Aérosols, Nuages, Rayonnement ", Lalonde-les-Maures (Fr), 16-28 September 2001

An international (but mainly in French) school will be organized by CNRS, CNES and Météo-France in September. It could be intersting for the ALATNET Young Researcher who will work on "Use of IASI/AIRS data over land" if he/she understands French.

Third call for ALATNET candidacies

May 31 was the very last day to candidate to this call. A first selection within the candidacies was discussed waiting for the announced deadline (May 31st in the evening). A final vote will be organised on June 7.
