Varpack analysis is a diagnostic Analysis that runs for the time being every day, every 3 hours (00H,03H,06H,09H,12H,15H,18H,21H) as an experimental suite.
It is based on ALADIN-3dvar analysis. All the observations used by ALADIN 3dvar are currently used in Varpack. The main difference lies in the existence for varpack of 2 additional levels near the ground, one at 2m and the other at 10m, in order to assimilate ground level observations without depending on surface parameters such as temperature or humidity.
The output fields of varpack are the following ones : temperature at 2m, humidity at 2m, wind at 10 m, CAPE, MOCON, mean sea level pressure.
