Procedure to prepare files for an AROME experiment
and launch this experiment

First of all it is necessary to know what one wants to do!

  • It is necessary to have a file delta, like for a clim 923
  • It is necessary to know test date, your model, your file names ..
  • It is necessary for a particular situation that your clims and starting files are on delage/cougar ..

    • How to proceed ?

  • You can launch "lance_exp delta", a questionnary will be executed with default options, the various necessary scripts will be adapted to your experiment and copied on a work directory.
  • On this directory you will launch the first script "c923" and the other scripts will run automatically afterwards.
  • If there is an error, the running script stops. You can repair your error and launch the corrected script.
  • Thus attention with the rights of writing .rhost .netrc files.


    • The file lance_exp procedure and an exemple of a "delta" namelist are available on tora (/u/gp/mrpe/mrpe602/Assist directory). You can copy lancement.tar on your directory to have all the scripts necessary. This file tar contains the scripts c923, c927, c927surf, cesurf, carome, ftputdir.sh, an example of delta deltamipy, a readme_lance_exp.txt and the procedure lance_exp.
